My dog is itchy on Apoquel. Can I give Apoquel or Benadryl more often?

Louise is on apoquel once daily. When it wears off She gets really itchy. We give her benadryl before bed but it doesn't really help for long. Can i give it to her twice a day or no? Pet's info: Dog | French Bulldog | Female | 2 years old | 16.6 lbs

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Both Apoquel and Benadryl can be given twice daily. However, I recommend that you check with your veterinarian who prescribed it before changing the frequency of the medications in case they put her on that dose for something in particular. I find it more effective twice daily. Good luck and have a great day!
