Biography
Born in Colorado and raised in Casper, Wyoming, Steven Popish grew up in a
veterinary household. Dr. Steve Popish, graduate of Colorado State University Veterinary School, practiced along side his father, Dr. John Popish. Dr. John Popish founded the Popish Veterinary Clinic, a highly progressive small animal practice in Wyoming.
Following his father’s retirement, Dr. Popish continued to grow and develop the 4-doctor practice over 28 years until selling the practice and moving to Boise, Idaho in 2011. While
developing his passion for helping animals, Dr. Popish was active in the community
and held various positions on veterinary boards. He continues to enjoy the same
hobbies such as skiing, fishing, playing tennis, and biking, while working part-time
at various clinics and consulting with practices throughout the intermountain region on
subjects, including pain management for animals through Zoetis. His daughter Julia,
when she graduates from CSU in 2019, will be a third generation veterinarian and
join the family’s legacy toward providing the best in animal care and service to
consumers.
