Biography
I have been a small animal veterinarian since 2012, and worked in New York, New Jersey and Georgia before returning to my hometown of Toronto Ontario. I have worked in a variety of environments, including private practice, vaccination clinics, and shelters, and gained valuable insight into veterinary medicine and the human-animal bond in the process.
I have a special interest in integrative medicine, am a Certified Canine Massage Therapist, and am Low Stress Handling Silver Certified. I am currently enrolled in a course to become a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist. I am a pet parent myself, mom to my mixed breed former street dogs and my 'foster” cat who became my forever cat.
I know how essential effective communication with pet parents is in helping to keep pets healthy. Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach is a great way to help answer the questions of concerned pet parents around the world, and with all the confusing information available through the internet these days, I’m happy to be part of a site that I know is providing quality advice to those who need it, day or night.
