My dog is lethargic and sad with seizure history. When to worry?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 7 years and 8 months old | 6 lbs

My dog is an 8 year old Shitzu poodle mix. He is a very happy, energetic boy. He has a history of seizures. He is currently very lathargic and seems sad. He's been like this for about an hour. Should I be concerned?

If the lethargy continues, if Bandit seems confused, disoriented, or wobbly, or is not eating or drinking normally, I recommend having him seen by a vet. See the link below for more information on seizures, including when they should be considered an emergency: https://veterinarypartner.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=4951440
