Why is my cat opening his mouth to meow but no sound comes out?

My cat was behaving normally until yesterday. But suddenly he has stopped meowing. I mean he opens his mouth to meow he applies the required pressure but his voice is lost i think. This was not the case since birth his voice was perfectly normal. Its only since yesterday that he doesn't meow even after opening his mouth and applying pressure. What could be the reason? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 1 month and 4 days old
