My cat has diarrhea and peed on the carpet. What should I do?

Does this look like diahrea? I have not seen anything like it before in my cats. I have not seen any odd behavior other than when I was cleaning the litter box today she peed on the carpet right in front of me while cleaning it, there was littler from the box on the carpet if that makes a difference. Thanks for or your help! Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 2 years and 1 month old | 6 lbs

It does indeed look like diarrhea. The fact that she peed on the carpet right in front of you means she is trying toell you that she is not feeling well, or she had to go really bad and could not wait until you were done cleaning the litter box. Diarrhea in cats is tricky. It could be caused by intestinal parasites, a gastro-intestinal infection, food indiscretion, stress, etc. I would take your kitty to a vet for an exam on Monday.
