Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I can see the spay tattoo and a very small incision likely healing well as I cannot see any inflammation or discharge indicating an infection. If at some point you notice any fouls smelling discharge, redness or tenderness to the touch, have her evaluated by your veterinarian. Otherwise, her incision is likely to continue to heal. Good luck!

Hi and thanks for using our service. The wound looks very ''healthy'' does not seem swollen or showing any sign of possible infection. The stain is either blood underneath the skin or possibly the disinfectant used (if they used betadine this can ''stain'' the skin). If she is fine otherwise I cannot see anything you should be worried about on the pic.

I do not think you need to take her in. The incision appears to be healing well with a small amount of inflammation. The sutures are holding and the skin looks good. If you notice any swelling or discharge then I would take her back.

It is inflamed and conercning about the central part being infected due to the discoloration. The lump may be a reaction from healing and the sutures. I would apply a warm compress to help with swelling and keep the area clean. I would have her rechecked to make sure antibiotics will not be needed. Most incision are completely healed by 10 days.
