Pet's info: Dog | Blue Heeler | Female | unspayed | 3 years and 1 month old | 38 lbs
My 3yr old heeler had a litter back in January! Since then she has gone into heat twice every 3mths! She went into heat Sept 19 but we have an Appt booked to have her spayed Oct 22! Can we still get her spayed? Her bleeding week is nearly done so next is discharge time and then we're out of the red zone! We kept one of her puppies who's a male and I'm panicking keeping them apart!

Technically, yes, she can be spayed while she is in heat but it is up to the veterinarian that is going to be performing the surgery. Some vets are comfortable spaying in-heat dogs and some are not as there is usually more bleeding. You will have to contact the veterinarian that will be performing the surgery and ask them this question.
