Best products for dog scratching, hot spots, and shedding relief?

My dog has been scratching alot and I just noticed she has hot spots and shedding she is 48.5 pounds do you carry anything for her comfort and healing as shampoos and salves thanks. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 2 years and 6 months old | 48.5 lbs

Hello. Petco carries a number of products that might help. Zymox makes a spray & a salve that contains hydrocortisone, that can really help with the itching. On-line, you can find many more products such as shampoos & conditioners that also contain hydrocortisone. Topicals only work for short periods of time. Longer relief can be obtained with immunostimulants such as Apoquel & Cytopoint, both available from your veterinarian. Your pet may also have additional issues such as skin mites, fleas, bacterial & yeast infections in the skin, & your veterinarian can certainly help to sort some of these issues out. If the over the counter products do not seem to be controlling her symptoms, then please consider checking Chancla out with your veterinarian.
