My puppy has a sudden lump behind her ear. Should I be worried?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 5 months and 26 days old | 20 lbs

My puppy (5 mo) has this lump behind her ear it's really hard to see because her fur but it popped up out of nowhere I'm worried about it

Hi, and thanks for your question. Although a picture of it would help to give you more specific answers, this lump/growth should be ideally examined by your veterinarian to have a definitive diagnosis. Your vet will examine it and possibly perform with an FNA (fine needle aspiration) or a biopsy. Differentials would include skin cyst, enlarged salivary gland or lymph node, infections or benign or malignant type of tumors (very unlikely given the age).
