My 2-month-old pug has a painless lump near his nose. Should I worry?

Hello and thank you for reaching out to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. A mass on the face can either be benign or malignant, and the only way to know is for your veterinarian to perform an aspirate with a needle, or perform a biopsy. This way, your vet can look at the cells under a microscope and determine if the mass is nothing to worry about, or if it could be cancerous. You could monitor the mass for about 1 week and see if it changes in size. If it remains the same size and/or increases in size, or changes color, I recommend making an appointment with your vet to have the mass sampled.
