Why does my pet have a crusty nose and sneeze often? Is it serious?

Updated On December 4th, 2025

Pet's info: Small Animal | Unknown - Small Animal | Male | unneutered | 4 months and 7 days old

Cosmo has a thin layer of crust on his nose almost like dried mucus and he sneezes more than usual what could this mean? Should he see a vet? He's been sneezing like this since I got him.

This sign could be compatible with an upper respiratory tract inflammation/infection or possibly to a chronic rhinitis (inflammatory, allergic, infective). A clinical examination at your local veterinarian is essential to confirm these clinical suspicions and treat appropriately. Antibiotics may be needed.
