Hello. Separation anxiety can potentially develop at any time. What triggered it is unknown, but you can try Cole on one of the over the counter anti-anxiety products such as Zylkene ( https://www.zylkenepet.co.uk ), or invest in a dog appeasing product ( https://adaptil.com/us ). If this does not work, you may need to have your vet recommend some behavior modification exercises or even recommend a behavior specialist. Other things to try would be prescription anti-anxiety medications from your vet. Trazadone & Prozac are a few that have worked well in pets. It will take time, but usually you can find something to calm Cole down when everyone is away. Thanks for using PetCoach.
