Why is my neutered dog dragging his butt? Anal gland issues?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 11 months and 18 days old | 71 lbs

I have a 1 year old male who has been dragging his butt across the carpet about 3 to 4 times a month for the last couple of months he has been neutered I know he does not have worms. Some one told me that it has sometime to do with the glands in his rearend is this true and if so what if anything should I do or just wait it out and hope it stops Please help

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This is in fact likely due to the anal sacs which could be impacted or infected for example. This is something that if it continues, it warrants an evaluation by a veterinarian. It may resolve on its own. Best of luck!
