My cat might go into heat before spaying. Can she still have surgery?

My cat is going for spaying on Friday but I'm afraid she will go into heat before then. How can I postpone it? Or can she still do surgery with heat? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 8 lbs
