My dog has red, inflamed spots on her lip and chin. What's wrong?

Dog. 4yo. Female. Chihuahua. Red, slightly inflamed lip, chin and under nose. Spots. Walked earlier today in Manchester UK. Acting normally.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This is possibly due to early onset dog acne. You can buy online or at your local pet store chlorhexidine based pads which are an antimicrobial you can apply twice daily for a week. If no improvement, have her evaluated by your veterinarian at that time for further assessment and treatment as other possibilities include skin allergies or mange for instance. Good luck!
