Do puppies need calcium or supplements for strong bone development?

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 1 month and 28 days old | 4 lbs

what are some supplements for a puppy's healthy and stronger bones? and at what age can i start them(in puppy-hood)? is it possible that i can make a dog's bones thicker and broader if i start giving him needed calcium and supplements from puppy-hood?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding your puppy. If you feed a well balanced puppy food, there is no reason to provide additional supplements. Supplementing calcium can actually be detrimental. The excess calcium will alter the puppimy's calcium:phosphorus ratio leading to developmental bone disease. I hope this information helps!
