Yes! Chickens love plain bell peppers and you can give it to them daily as long as it doesn’t cause diarrhea! Salad as well! The fresh veggies will make the yolks beautiful! I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

Guinea pigs should eat primarily grass hay, a bit of pellets and 1 cup fresh veggies a day. Those are all good but I would change up the variety some. What are some things I can and can't feed a rooster/chicken. I am getting a lot of mixed answers during my research.
They can eat chicken feed, cracked corn, oats, groats, greens, oyster shells (crushed), mealworms, nightcrawlers, crickets, berries and carrots just to list a few items. This is by no means an all inclusive list. You can find more acceptable foods at www.backyardchickens.com.

Thanks for reaching out about Sheephony. The entire hard boiled egg, including the shell can be chopped and offered, probably once weekly. Fruits are not that healthy and should be offered sparingly. Vegetables should include green leafy but also red/yellow/orange vegetables to provide a wide range of vitamins/minerals. Good luck.

I've heard that chickens can pretty much eat anything, but can they eat marshmallows? I wanted to give them something nice for Easter but there may be a better alternative I could use. Do you have any recommendations of a treat for my seven chickens?

I read that I can't give my budgie lettuce from the internet? Is true I can't find a reliable source? I have given him ice berg lettuce before and he loved it and didn't affect him but is it OK for him?
Lettuce can cause some digestive upset in birds and runny stool. I would recommend feeding fresh fruits and other veggies (like zucchini, carrots, and peppers) instead. My neighbor is giving his rooster and hen a boiled potato and a whole wheat grain.I asked him about it and he says it is its best nutrition.Is is correct to give potato and whole grain to rooster and Hen??????
These foods can be fed to poultry but they may not include all the nutrients necessary for optimum health. It is good that the potato is cooked because a raw potato can cause health issues for chickens. Depending on the type of whole grain offered they may not be getting enough protein. Usually chickens are fed a grain mixture, called scratch grains with a pellet or crumble made for the age of the bird. For example, we feed a growing ratio when developing when chickens are young or a laying ratio when the hens are old enough to lay eggs.

Would it be a good idea to provide only grain mix one day and only fruits and veggies the next day? would this be a good way to alternate the food and keep a balanced diet or do budgies need grain mix every day?
Thank you for using Boop by Petco! I recommend providing both grain/seed mix or pelleted feed and fruits/veggies every day. It is not necessary to provide fruit and veggies daily as these are considered enrichment, and not necessary for nutritional requirements. Keep in mind that budgies tend to be neophobic, or do not like new things in their environments, so they may not respond well to new food items. What are the main healthiest foods for the hens and rooster
Choose a commercial pelleted diet labeled as "all flock" or "flock raiser". This is a complete diet for most chickens.
For the hen, you will need to supplement calcium, especially if she is a layer. You can offer her crushed oyster shells freely.
Do not use a layer diet for both. The calcium levels would be too high for the rooster leading to potential health issues for him.

I feed my guinea pig spinach everyday and he loves it and doesn't eat any other food without it , but a forum says it's not good to be fed everyday , but I feed him everyday , so what should I do? He's been eating it everyday for the past 1- 2 months
It's OK for him to eat spinach everyday, but it should not be a major component of his diet, because it is too concentrated. The major component of his diet should be a high fiber pellet and high quality hay. Fruits and vegetables are also good to give on a daily basis, but they should not be the majority of the food he is eating. It's best to have variety, but if he has a few leaves of spinach each day, then I see no problem with that. I hope that helps and all is well with Mellow.
