Good day, one of the 3 puppies I have which are 6 wks of age could have swallowed a smooth rib bone 1cm thick & 8cm long +- 2 hrs ago. Advice on how to identify which pup it is & how to go about expelling the bone would be appreciated. They are Border Collie cross Staffie. Regards, Tony.

Such a bone is likely to cause a lot of problems if ingested whole, it will either stay in the stomach or advance to the small intestines, potentially causing intestinal blockage. signs to look for are lethargy, vomiting, lack of appetite and signs of pain in the abdominal area. if one of your puppies is showing any of those signs i would recommend taking him to the vet ASAP.
