My cat gave me an itchy, circular rash. Could it be ringworm?

I went 2 the doctor for a really bad rash that is itchy & circular. Sore all around and oozes out liquid if itched constantly. It is on my chest & arm and on my sisters too The doctor said it's from the cats. I have 2 cats. the rash appeared at same time I gt the kitten. The other cat I've had for two years. There up to date with shots & get checked annually. But the kitten just her vaccine Going again Friday 4 other shot he said its contiagous the cat/kitten have a parasite. Wat is causin this?

Hello. This could be ringworm. Have your veterinarian culture some of the hairs on the kitten & see if the results come back positive for the fungus. Then your veterinarian can start both cats on the appropriate oral medications. In the meantime, bathing the cats in an antifungal shampoo will decrease some of the possibility of continued shedding & spread, & if it turns out that this is not from the cats, they will not be affected by the shampoo.
