Do lungworm medications for dogs prevent or cure the infection?

Hi can you tell me do the worming tablets for lungworm work only as a preventative or do they work as a cure also Just curious. Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Female | spayed | 7 years and 8 months old | 14.5 lbs

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If your dog has lung worms I would contact your Vet for the deworming protocol as it is usually a 2 week course. But the intent of the medication is to clear the infection. Have a good day!
