My dog's gums are light pink. Is this normal? What should I do next?

Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Male | neutered | 5 years and 3 months old | 25 lbs

Hi! My dog benji i noticed that his gums are pale not white but a light pink. I don’t think this is normal. Is it? If it’s not what should we do?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Be sure not to pull hard on the lip when you check the gums. Make sure it is in good lighting. If Benji is acting fine then watch him. If you are still concern have your Vet check him out Monday. There is nothing to do at home. If he is acting sick he should be seen today. My hope is that if he is otherwise acting normal the color of his gums is normal for him. I wish you the best!
