My dog was treated for fleas but is still itching. What helps?

My dog recently got bit by fleas. I have taken care of that by giving buddy one dose of bravecto,but what can I do about the itching??? Pet's info: Dog | Jack Russell Terrier | Male | neutered | 3 years and 7 months old | 14 lbs

It can take some time for the fleas to completely die off. You might talk to your vet about a round of Apoquel or prednisone to help with the itching until the fleas are completely gone. Benadryl won't really help in this situation. You could also try an oatmeal pet shampoo.
