Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Buddy! Blood in the stool or diarrhea indicates inflammation in the colon. It isn't uncommon for blood to show up in the stool with diarrhea in animals. I have seen diarrhea start after being dewormed. Some dogs will vomit too. Other causes of diarrhea are: worms themselves (despite the deworming), viral (especially parvo) and bacterial infections, change in food or treats or he was given human food, food allergy or intolerance or he ate something gross outside. Sadly since he is so young and a small breed dog I would have him seen by your Vet. If he isn't up to date on vaccine he should be parvo tested. Other wise he should be started on an oral antibiotic for the diarrhea and blood and a prescription bland diet. I wish Buddy the best!
