My dog has itchy seasonal allergies. What antihistamines can I give?

Barkley has seasonal allergies that make him itchy. He’s already been seen by his Vet who recommended antihistamines. What are the different kinds of antihistamines I can give him and/or what’s the best type for itchy skin as this is really his only symptom? Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Male | neutered | 1 year and 3 months old | 12 lbs

Your vet should be happy to answer this question and can likely give you a couple different options for antihistamines that are sold over the counter. If the antihistamines are not effective, then he may need a stronger medication.
