What is the proper bathing frequency for my dog's skin and coat?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 20 lbs

How many times should I take my dog a bath my aunt said once a month but I'm still not sure chewy is about 3 years old so should I do more frequently or less

Hi there and thanks for posting! Dogs do not need frequent baths unlike us humans. Their fur and hair have natural oils that can be stripped away if bathed frequently. I'd say bathing every 1-2 months should be sufficient. I hope this helps!
