My cat's first plane trip: How to keep him calm and should I feed him?

Georgie, my 5 year old Tabby shorthair, travels very well in a car, with trips up to 4 hours. On Monday, however, we are going on our first plane trip together. Its going to be 2 legs - KC to Orlando (3hr), with a 90 minute layover and then another 2hr 30 min flight. My vet would not prescribe any medication to keep him calm. He normally is an excellent cat. Is there anything homeopathic that might help calm him? Should I restrict his food before flying? Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 5 years and 2 months old | 13 lbs

You could try using some Feliaway on the towel, bed, and/or carrier she will be using for travel. This may help her remain more calm.
