Help! My cats pee outside the litter box but still use it for poop.

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 8 lbs

Why are both my cats peeing everywhere but the litter box.? They use it for their poop.. I clean it every day sometimes I miss one but not more than that but every time I clean it there hasnt been pee in it ive had them together for a year now we got Zelda about 6 months before our other one morty.. they use to do it when my husband was in charge of cleaning it and he wouldn't do that often

I would get a urinalysis on both of them and make sure they don't have urinary issues or other issues that are causing this problem. If you rule out medical then we can talk about adding feliaway, making sure they have a place to look outside, climb up, hide in and are getting enough attention. I would also make sure you have 3 litter boxes. I would try different litters also. I would just rule out medical before saying it is a behavioral problem.
