Should I bathe my 2-month-old kitten? How often and with what?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Persian | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 18 days old

Freckle is two and a half months old now and some people are advising me to not give her a bath until she's older because apparently she'll catch a cold? When should I give her a bath? And what, other than kitten shampoo, can I use as shampoo? Also, how often should I give her a bath?

As you can see she is spotless, the reason for that is that cats are obsessive cleaners, they spend a good part of their day cleaning themselves very carefully. for that reason and also because cats hate baths i recommend Never bathing your cat unless something out of the normal happens and she becomes suddenly very very dirty.
