My dog has itchy pink spots on her belly. Is it a shampoo allergy?

My dog has pale pink spots about the size of an eraser on her belly that itch like crazy. could that have been a reaction from her shampoo? What will help with the itching? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 9 years and 11 months old | 50 lbs

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. Without pictures it is difficult to say for sure what the problem is. This could be a reaction to the shampoo you used. If this is a severe allergic reaction, I would recommend having a veterinarian examine Stella so that the most appropriate treatment can be administered. Injectable benadryl and a steroid may be the best option to reduce this reaction, if it is a reaction. I hope this helps! You can use Well and Good Hydrocortisone Spray, which you can find at your local Petco.
