How can I tell if my stray cat is pregnant, or just in heat for weeks?

My baby was a stray and when I took her to the vet they said she might be pregnant. I was wondering how would you know if she’s pregnant? She’s also been in heat for a few weeks. Pet's info: Cat | American Curl | Female

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Skittish is cute! Cats are pregnant for about 60 days so if you’ve had her longer than that then I doubt she’s pregnant. Also if she’s showing symptoms of being in heat then she’s not pregnant. If the 60 days isn’t up wait until then and if it’s obvious she isn’t pregnant then have her spayed. An X-ray would also help. Good luck!
