My cat has flea allergy dermatitis with hair loss. What's the best treatment?

Pet's info: Cat | Maine Coon | Male

I think my cat has flea allergy dermatitis, I capstared him yesterday, I'm going to brush off the flea residue and eggs today with a flea comb,is there something I can apply on his skin to help the allergy? He has a huge patch of hair missing on his neck/back.

I would not recommend applying anything topical to such a large area as he is likely to groom and ingest much of it. I would recommend oral antiinflammatories from your vet and also a omega fatty acid supplement such as viacutan for 6 weeks to promote skin and coat repair and recovery
