My dog seems to keep peeing on her bed. I never catch her doing it but I will wash it and a couple days later it will smell of pee again very badly. She tends to ask to go outside everytime she needs to go but her bed still smells. And it's never anywhere else but her bed or the bedding in her kennel. Is there something I can do to stop that? Why does she do that?

It sounds like your dog may have urinary incontinence, and is leaking urine when she sleeps. There are several conditions of the urinary system that can cause incontinence, including a urinary tract infection, kidney disease or infection, bladder stones, bladder disease, spinal disease/trauma or spay incontinence. In order to diagnose the cause, she will need to see her veterinarian for an exam. The vet will want to do further testing including a urinalysis, blood work and possibly x-rays. If all of these tests come back normal then the likely cause is spay incontinence, which is a weakening of the bladder sphincters due to a lack of hormones caused by spaying. This can be treated with medication to prevent her leaking.
