My puppy has black watery stool. Is it parvovirus? What should I do?

My 16 week old dog is passing black watery stool what is wrong with him

I would be very concerned that the black color of the stool is caused by bleeding higher up in the GI tract. At his age, Marshal could be suffering from parvovirus if he isn't fully vaccinated. I would take him into a vet immediately, as parvovirus is fatal without treatment. The vet can do a blood test to diagnose if he does have parvo, and can treat him for it. There is no cure for parvovirus, only supportive treatment. Other causes of bloody stool include hemorrhagic gastroenteritis, a foreign body, or intestinal parasites. Bloody diarrhea is very serious in a young puppy, so please take Marshal into a vet now.
