My dog has a pink sore on her lip like a cold sore. What to do?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | spayed | 3 years and 4 months old | 85 lbs

My Labrador springer mix has a very small pink sore on her upper lip below her nose. It reminds me of like a cold sore. Any suggestions?

There is nothing much that can be done on this location as anything you may put locally will be licked and ingested instantly, in most cases those sores resolve without treatment, in a minority of cases these are lumps that need to be removed surgically, my advice would be to just keep an eye on it for a few weeks.
