My dog's teeth are orange-yellow and his breath smells awful. Why?

Why does my dogs fangs have an orange yellow stain on them? Why does his breath smell so horrible?

The most common cause of tooth discoloration and bad breath is severe dental disease. Other possible causes would include a systemic illness like liver or kidney failure, or even diabetes. I would recommend having your dog examined by a vet as soon as you are able to - he/she can examine his mouth and teeth to check for excessive tartar build-up and infection, and can also do blood work or other testing if needed to help determine the problem.
