When should 4-month-old kittens get next shots or 5-in-1 vaccine?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 30 days old

We adopted our two babies. They only had their first inoculations a week ago at almost 4 months old. When will it be safe to take them for their next inoculations and will it be safe to catch up the second inoculations or should we skip straight to the 5 in one,?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! At 4 months old they only need two FVRCP vaccines. I recommend giving the 2nd one 3-4 weeks after the first. If you want to do the 5 in 1 vaccine for cats then you should give 2 of those 3-4 weeks apart. It won't hurt to change to that kind. I hope this helps!
