My new dog hasn't pooped since I adopted him. What should I do?

Hello I adopted my dog a couple days ago and the rescue gave me a bag of Science Hills dog food, the only way to get him to eat it is to mix it with wet dog food. I used “whole hearted boiled chicken” because my other dog is currently eating “whole hearted” He ate some of the kibbles from science hill and devoured the boiled chicken in gravy.. he has been drinking a normal amount of water but I haven’t seen him poop yet. I’ve taken him out on numerous walks, but he only pees. Suggestions ?

Congratulations on adding Bear to your family. As long as he is eating, drinking and walking, most dogs will have a bowel movement. You could try adding some canned pumpkin to his diet today to see if this will help things to move along. If he does not have a BM by tomorrow, have him examined by the veterinarian because he may need a laxative. If you can get him to run, this may help to stimulate him to have a BM more than walking.
