My cat has feline leukemia. Why is she losing fur above her tail?

My cat has started to loose her fur right above her tail and she also has feline leukemia not sure if that would have anything to do with it but she 4 an that has never happened before

Hair loss above the tail is often due to fleas, so I would first check her well for fleas. Below is a link to an article that explains this well. https://www.petcoach.co/article/5-tips-to-get-rid-of-fleas/ FeLV can lead to sores developing on the body, so it's possibly related. If you notice that the skin starts to break open, or you can't find any evidence of fleas, then it's best to have a vet examine Kit cat. Hair loss can happen due to microscopic mites, allergies and infections. The vet will be able to quickly look for the cause of this and provide the most appropriate treatment to keep things from getting worse. I hope that helps and the Kit cat gets better soon.
