Typical gestation length for dogs is 58-68 days. If she mated with a male dog on October 20, she would be about 40 days pregnant at this point in time. This is still a little early to potentially see puppies moving when she rested. That would occur around 49-57 days of pregnancy. Every dog is different, and some will show more than others, but she still has time for her belly to grow larger. I would take her into the vet for an exam tomorrow. The vet can do an ultrasound and/or x-rays to confirm that she is pregnant, and can tell you the approximate amount of puppies she is carrying.

Have her examined by your veterinarian. At this point in time, pregnancy can be confirmed via palpation, blood test or by abdominal ultrasound. It may be early for her to start showing if she is pregnant.
