Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | 3 years and 5 months old | 70 lbs
Hi! I have a 3 year old 70 lb boxer. He got into our kitchen trash today. He rummaged through and 8 I don't know how much. I am wondering what I need to be concerned about or watch for. I'm not completely certain as to what all was in there but I'm pretty sure I have a good idea. Mostly just household food items

If you think he may have ingested bones, plastic, foil, etc then I suggest you get him to your vet for an exam right now. If he just ate food, then he may be fine or he may start having vomiting and/or diarrhea. There is no way for me to know what to tell you. My suggestion would be to monitor him. Give no food for 12 hours; having water available is fine. If he starts vomiting he needs to see the vet ASAP. If he has diarrhea it will likely resolve on it's own within a day or two. Diarrhea is not as concerning as vomiting. Vomiting can be an obstruction or pancreatitis, both of which can be serious. Hope this helps.
