Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed
My cat has been having trouble with some of poop sticking to her bottom in small pieces( not her hair but to her actual skin). We have tried wipes after we noticed it to clean her but she did not like that at all and it was difficult to get off. Is there anything else that we could try that would not be uncomfortable for her?

The best thing you can do in these situations is to keep the area as clean as possible. I would trim the hair around the rectum as this would make the area easier to clean. If you are able to clean the area thoroughly at least once then you can apply a thin layer of Vaseline to the rectum to prevent the feces from getting stuck. This will make it easier to keep clean as well. You may also try using a warm, wet wash cloth on the area to help loosen the feces that is caked on. If you are unable to get the area clean yourself I am sure your veterinarian’ office would be happy to help. Typically an exam fee is not even charged for something like this. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Best of luck.
