Why is my Chihuahua dragging his butt on the floor and bed?

My Chihuahua keeps rubbing his rear end on the floor and my bed he just started doing this in November Should I take him to his vet or is it something he's just wants to do

What a cutie! Rubbing of the rear end on the floor can be a sign of anal sac irritation. He may need to have his anal sacs expressed by his vet. You can read more about this issue at: http://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&S=0&C=0&A=625 We can also see itching as a result of allergies or occasionally tapeworms. I would recommend bringing Tuesday in for an exam by your vet to check for these problems. If the anal sacs are full and are not expressed, it can make them prone to infection/abscess formation.
