My Chihuahua keeps rubbing his rear end on the floor and my bed he just started doing this in November Should I take him to his vet or is it something he's just wants to do

What a cutie! Rubbing of the rear end on the floor can be a sign of anal sac irritation. He may need to have his anal sacs expressed by his vet. I would recommend bringing Tuesday in for an exam by your vet to check for these problems. If the anal sacs are full and are not expressed, it can make them prone to infection/abscess formation.
