Why is my Shih Tzu constipated, not eating, and tail hurting?

Constipated, hard small pieces of stool, loss of appetite, avoids movement of tail. (11yr old shih tzu). Is there anything to treat him or make him feel better? Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Male | unneutered | 11 years and 4 months old | 15.9 lbs

You can try to add canned pumpkin or canned beans to the diet to help with constipation and make the stool softer, you can also try 1/4 tea spoon of miralax twice a week to help with this. Since he is not neutered I would be concerned his prostate may be enlarged causing him to feel bad and putting pressure on the colon making things difficult. I would recommend seeing your vet to see if this a problem or an enema may be needed to help
