Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 7 years and 10 months old | 12 lbs
I wasn't scratching my cats chin (it's white) when I saw a black bug crawl around and I tried getting it but it was too quick. I gave him Frontline Plus a week ago so I'm not sure why this bug, I assume a flea would be on him. He's an outdoor cat so I wonder if it got on him and maybe died later when I saw it, I hope? Answers to what it might be would be great and what's the next step would be!

I would be you likely did see a flea. They are dark colored and move quickly. Flea products are not repellants so the fleas must get on the pet in order to die. I would recommend to check Franklin daily for fleas. Look around the top of his tail and between his hind legs (most common places that fleas hang out). If you see live fleas frequently (more than once a week), I would recommend to switch your flea product. Some fleas are resistant to older products like Frontline. Newer products tend to work best. I like Cheristin for cats. Hope this helps!
