Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Longhair | Male | neutered | 7 years and 7 months old | 14 lbs

He gets like rashes on his skin. Like dots it's almost like hair loss too. And should I be near him if he got rashes on his skin. And it's also near his ears too. He started getting it like recently like a week ago or two. What should I do.

Hi there and thank you for using Pet Coach! What you are describing and based on the photos, I would suspect this is a skin infection. I would recommend using a shampoo such as Douxo PS chlorhexidine shampoo and bathe twice weekly until resolved. I would also start Welactin omega 3 fish oil and essential 6 spot on by dermoscent for cats. If the skin does not improve or it worsens, I would recommend that he be seen by a veterinarian for an examination and further diagnostics. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
