My dog's growing, bleeding mole is inflamed. Is it cancer? What to do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Silky Terrier | Female | 15 years old | 11 lbs

My dog has had this mole continuously growing bigger on her back for the past year, and it’s becoming an issue as it continuously bleeds. She does not seem to be in any pain, but it is very red and inflamed. What should I do? And what is it? I’m just worried that it could be cancerous

This growth needs to be checked and analysed as there are many conditions and types of tumors that could look like that. take Suzie to the vet, they will perform a fine needle aspiration on the growth and send it to the lab for analysis. when the result comes, the vet will advise what needs to be done according to the diagnosis.
