My pet's eye looks strange but doesn't seem to hurt. What's wrong?

My pet has an eye issue that doesn’t seem to be causing pain or any other symptoms. What could it be?

Hello. It appears that he has most likely had some sort of trauma to the cornea...a scratch or something. That bulging area is possibly going to rupture. Your rat needs to be seen by a veterinarian ASAP in order to get the proper treatment to try to save the eye. It may respond to topical antibiotics for the eye that your veterinarian can provide, it may require surgery.
