Hi and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Sorry to hear about Stryker. The bordetella vaccine has been known to induce very mild clinical signs in some dogs. Sneezing, runny eyes/nose, and some mild coughing can occur. It should be mild and self limiting but if the cough worsens, you should contact the clinic that administered the vaccine. Good luck with Stryker.

What an adorable dog! If they gave oral or intranasal bordatella is is not unusual for dogs to cough and gag for a few days. As long as he is normal, eating and playing this should go away in a few days. If he stops eating and is sick please take him in for an exam. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for Joey.
