Hello, & thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Are you sure you are dealing with ear mites? Most of the time when a client presents a pet for ear mites, invariably the problem is an ear infection. If you are sure about the ear mites, there are OTC ear mite remedies available at the pet stores. You can use plain mineral oil, as this will smother the mites. Place a couple of drops into each canal & massage gently. You can repeat this once a week for about 3 weeks. Revolution, available from your veterinarian, is a great, easy way to treat ear mites. One application will work for 30 days. Take care.
